Carling residents share a love for the land, its water, and its rugged features. But that doesn’t make us all the same.

Our people differ in how they use their properties, when they use their properties, and how they access their properties.
Access, for example, can be year-round on maintained roads, or via private roads which may or may not be maintained in the winter, or it might be water access only.
For many owners, both inland and on the water, Carling is their primary residence. For others, it is a second residence or a vacation property that may be accessed throughout the year or just seasonally. The owners of these different access options have specific needs and distinct interests in municipal services.
It is important for a councillor to understand and represent the unique perspectives of all of these groups.
The best way to unite Carling is to listen to, and understand, the needs of all.
